We're not fair weather!

Alright Cavs fans, it's do or die time. Well, not literally, but it might as well be for this series. No matter what, let's show the nation how much we love our team!

DSers, friends, and anyone else who likes a good time are invited to come out to:

Fat Fish Blue
21 E. Prospect
Cleveland, OH 44115
(216) 875-6000
Time: 6:30 PM until ???

We have a table reserved, if you can't find us, just wander around mumbling Juancho, MCBias, DeadSpin, YaySports, or something tangentially blog-related. And as if watching the Cavs beat the Spurs in an awesome atmosphere isn't enough incentive, a special guest or two may put in an appearance throughout the evening.

I myself will be taking the Rapid downtown to avoid the parking crunch and hope to be there some time after 7. Catch you later!

Oh, and GO CAVS!

The less said, the better...

Well, Sunday night was ugly. No two ways about it. And don't let the fact that the Cavs cut it to 8 fool you. We need to seriously regroup, and the way Mike Brown coaches, I don't know if that's possible. I have seen more than enough of Larry Hughes.

The Q looks nice decked out though, doesn't it?

Now What?

It's been an unspoken fact this year that you will know very early on in the game if the Cavs have it or not. They're always going to try on the defensive end, but Tony Parker's quickness was a big factor in game 1. (Note of sarcasm: I give them credit, it only took Parker going to the hoop twice when Z went out on a double-team for LeBron to switch himself to guarding Mr. Longoria.) The offense falls into a) we're going to atttempt to run some plays or b) we're going to stand around and wait for LeBron to save our collective ass. And if it's "b", and LeBron decides to start heaving up jumpers instead of taking it to the rack, we're in for a long night. And unfortunately, Thursday was a very, very long night.

I want to see a more prepared team on Sunday, Coach Brown.

Where shall we meet?

Several Deadspinners (myself included) plan to get together to watch the Finals games. Maybe eat a little. Definitely drink a little (or a lot). At any rate, we'll be coming from all over Cleveland, and are trying to find a suitable venue. The Winking Lizard has drawn an early lead, shall we try the Lakewood location? Post your thoughts in the comments.

Let's get together, Cleveland!

Welcome to Cleveland Pants Party, your one-stop source for Northeast Ohio-based sporting parties and other Deadspin meetup shenanigans. This little social blog is kicking off by celebrating the Cavs being in the NBA finals. We're going to have some watch parties and maybe a little pick-up basketball as the series goes on, and if all goes well we can make this a regular occurrence.

If you're a Deadspinner (or friend!) and would like to contact us about getting together, email Juancho at clevelandpantsparty@gmail.com
